I present a paper on writing good software engineering research papers that is based on the information collected from papers submitted to ICSE 2002. I provide some statistics about different types of research in software engineering along with guidelines on writing good papers in computer science, particularly, software engineering.
In an academic presentation, I talk about Code Bubbles which is a prototype IDE that tries to propose an alternative user interface paradigm for integrated development environments. I give an overview of this IDE and discuss quantitative and qualitative analyses performed to evaluate its success.
